A Wheel throwing & Hand Building Class for all skill levels – Ages 15 & up


5 Wednesday Nights / 6:00pm – 8:30pm

8 Wheel Seats and

4 Handbuilding Seats

A class for those who want to try wheel throwing or hand building fundamentals: Centering, throwing and trimming vessels on the wheel and / or slabs, coils and textures in hand building projects. Students will apply these basic skills to make cups, bowls or vases.   Beginners thru skilled potters are welcome.  Our instructors help you create original ideas or a popular studio project.  

We will glaze our vessels on the 5th week of class. 

Class may be repeated. ( repeating class we will help refine your skills)

Tuition for 5 Week Class $175.00 

Includes 12 lbs. of clay, firings, glazes and limited open studio access during the first 3 weeks of class. 

Extra clay can be purchased, fees will apply.

Open Studio access is during the first 3 weeks of the class.  Once you have taken your 4th class – Open Studio access is over.   Open studio hours are usually on Fridays  afternoons thru evening and or Saturday afternoons.  A open studio schedule will be given out the 1st class

To reserve a seat in the next session you must register/pay tuition by Wednesday, October 31,  2018

Size Restrictions for Pottery

Size restrictions apply to all ceramic pieces. Pieces are limited to 12 inches in all directions.  Oversize pieces may be fired at additional cost on a space available basis. 

High Fire Hawaii LLC Registration/Cancellation Policy and Studio Rules

Register Early! Class sizes are small.

You are not registered until you have paid in full.   You may pay in person or over the phone.

Tuition may be paid by cash, American Express, Visa, Master Card or Discover. Partial payments, post-dated checks and/or prorating of tuition are not allowed. Coupons and/or discounts do not apply to Special Workshops, Classes or Seminars.

ALL clay and glazes used in our studios must be  from High Fire Hawaii LLC.

Classes that do not reach a minimum enrollment may be cancelled. In the event of class cancellation students will be notified approximately 4 days prior to the scheduled start of class. Full tuition will be refunded if High Fire Hawaii LLC cancels a class.

In the case of cancellation by student 7 days prior to the start date of a class, tuition will be refunded less a $50.00 cancellation fee. Refunds will be paid by check. No tuition will be refunded for missed classes or cancellations made less than 7 days prior to the scheduled date of class.

High Fire Hawaii LLC reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes.

Our time is valuable. It is the student’s responsibility to attend all classes and pay attention. Students must respect the instructor and the other students. Time and space are limited and make-up sessions would conflict with other scheduled classes. We cannot offer refunds or make-up classes.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. Anyone who acts inappropriately may be asked to leave. Parents of minors must leave a contact phone number so we can contact you in mid-class if the need arises. Parents must be on time to pick-up students at the end of class.
